Yep, it’s Christmas! Families coming together, children opening gifts, and one
of our favorite events: THE CHRISTMAS PARADE!
Each year, the famous Christmas Parade is held the weekend
of Thanksgiving. After everyone’s belly is stuffed with turkey, families come
out to kick off the Christmas season with the Mount Airy Christmas Parade. The
parade is always a fun and exciting event and helps the community get in to the
Christmas spirit. Since Christmas is our favorite holiday, it is no surprise
that we love the Christmas Parade.
Mount Airy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat always participates
in the parade by letting parade guests sit in a few of our Ram Trucks! It is a
lot of fun to bring the community together for such a great day. This year, the
2017 Christmas Day Parade will be held on Saturday, November 25 at 9:00 in the
morning. Bundle up and arrive early so you can get a good view!
The Mount Airy Christmas Parade is sponsored by the Downtown
Business Association and helps support small businesses. The Parade is focused
on a theme of “A Season of Giving.” The parade Grand Marshals will be the Surry
County Schools Teachers of the Year
and the Parade will start in Veteran’s Park.
Plan on making the day of the Christmas Parade into a whole
day of fun. After the parade, there will be tons of fun actives in downtown and
you will have the opportunity to support local businesses by shopping around.
